So

This week was actually relatively busy. Strange for me, I know. Let's make a list. Because I know all my online stalkers are dying to know that where's and what's and with-whom's.

Monday: Went to Sara B's house with Noura to watch "The Bourne Identity" to prepare for the sequel this weekend. It was filled with typical movie-watching goodness, and I got to explore the secret world that is Sara B's house. I brought "The Hire" to watch, too, but like 70-year old ladies, we were all too tired by 11. (Noura, however, was more like a 75-year old lady, because she left at 10:30.)

Tuesday and Wednesday: PETsMART, unfortunately. I had to help aquatics extra much since they now have approximately a billion things to do before closing. Didn't get out till 10:30 Tuesday. Ughamundo. But now I know how to test water. Because that's a helpful life skill.

Thursday: Doctor's appointment in the afternoon. It's always a surreal experience when another woman asks you friendly questions like "So where are you going to college?" and makes comments like "Chicago's a nice city" while molesting your breasts with cold fingers. Also got the meningitis shot and a TB test. Still checking for symptoms through the end of today. So if I get a raised or red spot on the inside of my elbow, stay away. That night, I went to my sister's writing camp's presentation at Eastern Tech. They were almost all entering as freshmen, so the writing wasn't that good. And when I walked into the library, the first thing I saw was a giant poster of Nicolas Cage holding a copy of Siddhartha. Glad I'm not going to school there. But the whole thing was cute enough and reminded me of my CTY days. Except the kids at CTY were a lot snottier.

Friday: Saw a play directed by the wonderous Linda Chambers down at Vagabonds, which was also attended by many people who worked on "Carver at Vagabonds." The lead in the play was actually "Lauren" in my piece, and the guy who half-directed mine before LC took over was there. The directing was excellent of course, and the acting was good. The play itself was only so-so; some of the scenes didn't quite accomplish what they were trying to accomplish, especially towards the end. But a good night overall.

Today: Spent the morning running errands and dropping off a book at Zack Wilson's, where I spent a bit too much time talking, which left my dad carless for an hour and a half more than he expected to be carless for. But he didn't seem too upset. Tonight I'm heading out with the weekend movie crew of Nicole, Noura and Sara, which should be fun. And next week is full of plans as well. So it seems as though, finally, my summer isn't just me either sitting at home or going to PETsMART. It's actually fun.
